Date of Written Test : 24.03.2013 (Sunday).
Last date for application : 11.02.2013
Centres of Examination : New Delhi, Kolkata,Allahabad, Mumbai,Chennai, Guwahati,Bangalore,Chandigarh and Raipur.
Total Vacancies : The number of vacancies announced by each of the Cadre Authority participating in this examination.
Educational Qualification as  on 01.01.2013 : Passed 10+2 Examination.Candidates who do not possess at least the minimum education qualification are not eligible for application.
Length of Service : Not less than three years.
Not more than  45 years of age on 01.01.2013. Relaxable 5 years for Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe candidates.

The Scheme of written part of the examination will be as under-

Short Essay (Hindi or English)-100 Marks.Time 90 Minutes for General Candidates and 105 Minutes for Visually Handicapped candidates.

Objective Type Paper of Language (General English or Saamanye Hindi)
(50 questions for  50 marks).General Knowledge (English or Hindi)  (50 questions for 50 marks.Time 120 Minutes for General Candidates and 140 Minutes for Visually Handicapped candidates.
Short Essay : One Essay of 400-500 words to be written on any of the several specified subjects.
