Age as on 01.08.2013 : 21-30 years. Relaxable as per govt.rules.
Application Fee : No fee for Female/Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe /Physically Handicapped candidates. For others application fee is Rs. 100/- (Rupees Hundred only).Fee can be deposited by internet banking/ Visa/Master Credit and Debit Card.
There is no provision of withdrawal of application fee.
Scheme and subjects for the Preliminary/Main Examinations-
Preliminary Examination-
Two compulsory papers of 200 marks each.All multiple choice questions.
Medium of Question Paper : Hindi and English.
Main Examination will be not objective,this exam is subjective.
In Paper-I-Essay 200 Marks,English Comprehension  & English Precis 100 Marks.
In Paper-II-General Studies– 250 Marks.
In Paper-III -General Studies –II 250 Marks 
In Paper-IV -General Studies –III 250 Marks
In Paper-V-General Studies –IV 250 Marks
Paper-VI -Optional Subject – Paper 1 250 Marks
Paper-VII-Optional Subject – Paper 2 250 Marks 
Grand Total 2075 Marks.

Geography ,Geology , History , Law , Management , Mathematics , Medical Science ,Mechanical Engineering ,  Physics , Psychology Political Science and International Relations,Statistics  ,Public Administration and Zoology.
How to apply : Candidates are required to apply online at UPSC website.
It is noted that there will be penalty (negative marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
