Join as Musicians in Indian Coast Guard

Eligibility- Vacancies are available in Indian Coast Guard for Musicians with the 
Field of specialization-Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, F Hom, Tenor Trombone,Trumpet, 
Eb Bass, Flute/Piccolo for re-employment,Drummer. 
Eligibility-Retired sailors (Petty officers and below) from Indian Navy are only eligible for the posts.These persons will be re-employed discharged from Indian Navy.
Seniority-The seniority in recruited rank will be fixed as per the joining date in Coast Guard.
Probation Period-The probation period will be for two years, which may be extended at the discretion of the appointing authority.

Applications form can be downloaded from the Indian Coast Guard official website.
Selection procedure- Only Short listed candidates will be called for test,The tentative date for test is 13.05.2013.
Broad criteria for selection is as follows-
Candidates will undergo practical to play instrument to check the efficiency.
Qualified candidates will be required to undergo for medical examination.
Those found medically fit will be placed in the merit list.
The select list will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in all the tests.
Medical Standards -Selected candidates will undergo medical examination.
List of Documents- Documents for eligibility will be checked before  commencement of the test. Candidates are required to appear the examination with the following documents-
Original certificate for date of birth verification.
Proof of identity such as passport/ driving license/ voter I card/ college ID card / any other photo identity proof.
Ten recent colour passport size photographs.
Caste Certificate (if applicable) .
Discharge certificate from Indian Navy.
Experience certificate of instruments.
Pay, Perks and other benefits as per Govt. orders will be applicable.
Last date of receipt of applications : 25.04.2013
Fore remote area the last date is 30.04.2013.
