One Year Diploma in Yoga Science (D.Y.Sc.)
Duration of Course-This course is under pattern of 02 Semesters for the academic year 2013-14.
Eligibility- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum
50% marks. 40% for SC/ST candidates. 5% weightage, will be given to those possessing Master Degree in any subject.
Age for admission-Age as on 01.08.2013 -Not be more than 30 years (10 years age relaxation for in-service candidates.
Seats for admission-115 (General-58, OBC-31, SC-17 & ST-9). 2 seats are reserved for students from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, 2 for North-East States and 1 for Foreign student.
Medium of Diploma -Medium of diploma available in two languages i.e. Hindi/English.
Selection Criteria-Selection will be on Merit cum Reservation basis on qualifying examination.Medical fittness compulsory for admission.
Stipend-A stipend of rupees 3,000/- per month per student, in lieu of Hostel accommodation, will be provided on merit to a maximum 23 students in a
batch, who hail from the states other than Delhi and Nation Capital Region.
Incentives-3,000/- per month will be awarded to 13 Indian students (Gen-7, OBC-3, SC-2 & ST-1) on merit cum reservation basis on the basis of Ist semester examination performance.
Rupes 8,000/- per month will be awarded to 2 students each from Andaman & Nicobar Islands and North-East States.
