Special Limited Departmental Competitive Examination 2013
This test is for the candidates from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe category for 
additions in the Select Lists for the years 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Part-1 Examination-500 marks.
Structure of Written test (Part-2)-
General Studies, International 
Relations, Indian Culture & General Knowledge of Constitution of India-Time 2 Hours for 150 Objective Type marks.
Procedure and Practice in the Govt. of India Secretariat and attached offices, General Financial and Service Rules-Time 2 Hours for 150 Objective Type marks.
Essay, Comprehension and Precis Writing-Time 3 Hours for 200 Objective Type marks.
Evaluation of record of Service-100 marks
Interview-200 Marks.Total -880 Marks.
No TA/DA will be paid for interview/test.
Penalty for wrong answers-One third marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
If a question is left blank , there will be no penalty for that question.
Syllabus for the Examination will be as shown at website.
Marks will not be allotted for mere superficial knowledge.
Candidates must write the papers in their own handwriting.
Use international numerals in the test.

Effect of policies and polities of developed and developing countries
Important national institutions and agencies.
Indian economy and issues relating to planning, mobilization of resources
Government budgeting system.
Contribution of moral thinkers and philosophers.
Effects of liberalization on the Indian economy effects on industrial growth.
Indian in Science & Technology.
Challenges to internal security.Knowledge of RTI Act, 2005.
Machinery of Government, Practice and Procedures in Parliament.
