Last date for application : 30.06.2014
Age as on 01.08.2014 : 21-32 years. Relaxable as per govt.rules.
Application Fee : No fee for Female/Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe /Physically Handicapped candidates. For others application fee is Rs. 100/- (Rupees Hundred only).Fee can be deposited by internet banking/ Visa/Master Credit and Debit Card.There is no provision of withdrawal of application fee in any circumstances.
Scheme and subjects for the Preliminary/Main Examinations-
Preliminary Examination-

Medium of Question Paper : Hindi and English.
Two compulsory papers of 200 marks each.All multiple choice questions.
Main Examination will be not be objective,this exam will be subjective.
In Paper-I-300 marks.Essay 200 Marks,English Comprehension  & English Precis 100 Marks.
In Paper-II-General Studies– 250 Marks.
In Paper-III -General Studies –II 250 Marks
In Paper-IV -General Studies –III 250 Marks
In Paper-V-General Studies –IV 250 Marks

Paper-VI -Optional Subject – Paper 1 250 Marks
Paper-VII-Optional Subject – Paper 2 250 marks
Grand Total 2075 Marks.

Agriculture , Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science ,Anthropology ,  Botany , Chemistry, Economics ,Civil Engineering  ,Sociology ,Commerce and Accountancy,  

Geography ,Electrical Engineering, Geology , History , Management ,  Law ,Mathematics , Medical Science ,Mechanical Engineering ,  Physics , Psychology Political Science and International Relations,Statistics  ,Public Administration and Zoology.

How to apply : Candidates are required to apply online at UPSC website.
It is noted that there will be penalty (negative marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
Mobile phone and other electronic device are not allowed in the examination hall.
