NCTE B.ed.- M.ed. Now Two Years Course from Session 2015-17

The National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) increased course duration of Bachelor of Education (B.ed.) and Master of Education (M.ed.) from upcoming session 2015.Now these courses will remain two years instead of the prevalent one year course.The NCTE gives the recognitions to the BEd colleges and regulates their activities in India.As per new rules students can complete their M.ed. or B.ed.course within three years.Now 80% lecture is compulsory to enter in the exam instead of 75% attendance.Students-teacher ratio also changed.Now one teacher will be on 25 students instead of 14 students.As per new plan the B.Ed and M.ed.course would be of two years in which a student would have to give school teaching of 16 weeks instead of 40 days only as under one year plan.Under the new guidelines, a B.Ed college would have to reapply for NCTE recognition after five years.

NCTE also issued letter to increase the minimum teaching experience for becoming the Principal of a B.Ed college from the present 10 years to 15 years now.

This year Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU) Rohtak had completed admission process for admission is Bachelor in Education (B.ed.) 2015-15 session for all colleges of Haryana.
Admission schedule issued before some days from the process of online application.As per schedule online application started from 21.07.2014 for Govt./Govt.Aided/University Mainted College of Education and the last date for these colleges was 06.08.2014.The vacant seats was available in each college available on university website.The complete detail for admission was as under-

Seat allotment in first round-12.08.2014 up to 5:00 PM.
Seat allotment in second round-17.08.2014 up to 5:00 PM.
Seat allotment in third round-22.08.2014 up to 5:00 PM.
Reporting in allotted colleges for admission in first round-13.08.2014 to 15.08.2014 up to 5:00 PM.
