Online applications are invited from Male and female candidates for filling up of the 7416 constables in Punjab Police.3751 Male and 1164 Female posts in the District Police Cadre and 2501 Male and 00 Female posts in Armed Police cadre.The detail of posts are as under-

Pay Scale-Pay Band- 2 Rs. 10300-34800 +Grade Pay Rs. 3200 + other allowances as admissible under Govt. instructions/rules.
Pension- The selected candidates will be included under ‘Defined Contributory Pension Scheme’ of the State Govt.
Reservation-21% seats for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, 12% seats for Backward Classes, 13% seats for Ex-Servicemen.
Age-The minimum and maximum age for recruitment as on 01.01.2016 shall be 18 years and 28 years respectively.Age relaxation as per govt. rules.

Educational qualifications: The educational qualification for these 7416 posts is 10+2 in any discipline or equivalent. It is compulsory for each candidate to have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as compulsory/optional subject.In case of Ex-Servicemen the minimum educational qualification will be matriculation.
Selection Process:Selection shall be made by the Range/Commissionerate.Selection process would comprise of three phases (A) Physical Measurement Test,(B) Physical Screening Test,(C) Interview.
